AI Influencer on IG

Aim

Build an AI Influencer account, automate the video generation pipeline, and grow it.

Results

Across ~8 weeks:

Account 1 grew from 0 to 989 followers with 12 videos posted, averaging 350 views/reel at peak. Stopped the experiment.

Why It Stopped

1. Compute cost - ComfyUI video generation is time-intensive. Too much compute cost per post relative to the growth rate.
2. No niche - A generalist AI influencer doesn't accumulate followers as efficiently as a niche account. Viking cosplay and anime cosplay channels gain followers in bulk because the audience is defined. A generalist audience isn't.
3. Engagement automation risk - Couldn't automate the follow/engagement loop without risking account restrictions.

What Transferred

LoRA training, consistent character generation, putting characters in varied backgrounds, IG posting mechanics. The technical skills transferred; the business model didn't work at this scale.
